March 1st Firefox release gives errors using older versions of Java

Mozilla released Firefox version 3.6.14 on Tuesday, March 1st. We discovered that out-of-date versions of Java (1.6.0_23 and 1.6.0_20, that we know of) throw these errors when you log out of Blackboard, then log back in, using Firefox 3.6.14. Upgrading to the latest version of Java (1.6.0_24) resolves this problem.

ITaP begins archiving oldest Blackboard courses on Jan. 31

ITaP has established a set of guidelines for archiving older courses in its course management system, Blackboard Vista. The new retention guidelines will free up storage space and improve the current system’s performance. ITaP will begin archiving the oldest Blackboard course sections from online access during the week of January 31.
